Do you need someone in your corner?
Independent Advocacy could help!

The Independent Advocacy Team offers advocacy to registered young carers, aged 5-24 years old, in Wiltshire to help support them with difficulties they are having in education, health and social care.

An advocate is someone who listens to what you want, what you need, helps you understand your rights and entitlements and makes a record of these. They then represent you and your voice in important meetings that impact your life or support you with attending the meetings yourself. They can support you with making a complaint about the experiences you’ve had, explaining the process and supporting you through that journey.

They act on your behalf, for what you want and not what they think is in your best interests.

If you think Young Carer Advocacy would help you or someone you know, please email the team at ChildrensAdvocacy@Wiltshire.gov.uk to find out more.
