I am a mum of 2 special needs children trying to create a judgment free zone for other SEN children and their adults during school holidays where they can be creative, play, learn and be themselves.

I try to offer a variety of activities and locations. Parents stay and hopefully relax a little while supervising. I have offered sessions such as arts and crafts, disco’s, animal petting, trips on a canal boat, Easter bunny visits, magicians, a Santas grotto and much more in between, as well as a monthly soft play session. I have also helped to plan, organise and run children’s (and some adults!) birthday parties to take the stress off parents.

For children 2-18 years WITH flexibility depending on the sessions.

Important Update Regarding Carers Cafes in Wiltshire

Many of you will already be aware of the sad news that Carer Support Wiltshire is closing. We are writing with an important update to reassure you, your local Carer groups and support are continuing.

What’s happening from 1 April 2026

Carer Cafés are continuing

From 1 April 2026Home – Carers Together Wiltshire will take over the Carer Cafés in:

  • Amesbury
  • Calne
  • Ludgershall
  • Westbury
  • Warminster

Please see the link to the Carers Cafes below:

Nothing is changing about where the Cafés are held or how they run. They will stay as the same friendly, welcoming spaces many Carers know and trust.

Many of the volunteers who have supported these Cafés will continue, so you can still see familiar faces.

Mental Health Cafés are continuing

We will keep the Mental Health Cafés going in:

  • Salisbury
  • Trowbridge

Carers Together Wiltshire will do this in partnership with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP), so Carers can still access local emotional wellbeing support.

“Here to Talk” phone befriending is continuing

The “Here to Talk” telephone befriending service will also move to Carers Together Wiltshire

If you already use this service, Carer Support Wiltshire will contact you to ask for your consent to safely share your details with us. This is to follow data protection rules. Our aim is to make sure support continues smoothly, with no gaps.

Bereavement Help Points (planned)

Carers Together Wiltshire is also working towards a partnership with Dorothy House to support Bereavement Help Points across Wiltshire, so Carers who are dealing with loss can access kind, timelysupport.

Change can feel unsettling, especially when you are already supporting someone else. Carers Together Wiltshire is on doing all they can to ensure continuity, stability and compassion
