A new approach for 3 of our Carer Cafés!
Our Carers Cafes are all about connecting, having fun, and looking after your wellbeing. Enjoy free refreshments and a cake while taking a well-earned break in our Carer Café.
At our 3 brand new Carer Cafés you will now also have the option to bring the person you care for, so that they can join in with games, Tai Chi, and gentle seated exercise at the Age UK Wiltshire Fitness & Friendship Club (£6 per session, but Carers go free).
These new Carer Cafés are running in Amesbury, Tidworth and Westbury. For more information check out the attached posters or visit the events page on our website!
Everyone is welcome at our Carer Café – whether you’re joining on your own or bringing someone with you.
If you decide to bring the person you care for along to the Age UK Wiltshire Fitness and Friendship Club, please ensure you agree with the following Age UK Wiltshire policy:
- I will make sure I am available, in the Carer Café, for the entire duration of the F&F Club.
- I understand that Age UK Wiltshire’s policies, DBS procedure and insurance cover don’t allow them to support people with eating, drinking, using the toilet or mobility.
- I confirm that I will not leave the premises while the person I care for is attending the F&F Club.
Salisbury Escape Rooms
Located in the heart of Salisbury at 11a Fisherton Street (SP2 7SU), Salisbury Escape Rooms offers immersive, timed puzzle-adventure experiences that give your mind a break from daily demands. The concept is straightforward: you and your team enter a themed room, and you have 60 minutes to solve clues, unlock mechanisms and “escape”
Our current game is A Case of Murder and Marigolds – our cozy murder mystery. This time the Wessex Constabulary have tasked you with searching the home of the late botanist Dr. Seymour McGuffin – who was murdered during his annual family reunion. All the suspects are in custody and have not left the premises since the death occurred – but they did have time to stash the murder weapon. We can only hold the suspects for 24 hours, and we are coming up on 23. So you and your team only have 60 minutes to search for the murder weapon and any evidence that will help us make an arrest! The only area we haven’t checked is the greenhouse, Dr. McGuffin’s pride and joy. Will your team get stuck in the weeds or be able to see the forest for the trees?
